On the bank of the Wenatchee River, a 27-room property was being reimagined from a conventional leisure inn into something Leavenworth didn’t have. The town is bright, Bavarian, and full of families. The opportunity was the opposite: an adults-only alpine retreat built for rest, with a new hospitality building at its center and the river as its orienting presence.

Longitude° led brand strategy and positioning, naming, and visual identity. We defined a position above the market’s upscale hotels and below its destination spa resort, a tier no property occupied, and built the strategy around sensory and experiential language rather than a fixed amenity list, so it held steady through several rounds of development and design refinement. We named the property and helped our client develop a common-area naming system (the Stube, Biergarten, Wellnessgarten, and Riverhaus) that carries the region’s Bavarian heritage through vocabulary and ritual rather than decoration. The identity translates that same restraint into type, color, and material.

The result is a brand with a clear register: contemporary alpine design, rooted in Bavarian tradition and interpreted through the Pacific Northwest. Warm without being themed, refined without being formal. The strategy now serves as the foundation for architecture, interior design, and the guest experience, with the river setting the pace.
