The Abner Hotel

Longitude° was thrilled to collaborate with Salt Hotels to develop the brand for a unique boutique hotel concept within the historic Litchfield Courthouse in Connecticut. Originally built in 1888, the courthouse has played a prominent role in New England’s history, and now it embarks on an exciting new chapter.

Named after Reverend Abner Reeve, father of Tapping Reeve—the founder of America’s first law school in Litchfield—The Abner Hotel pays tribute to the area’s legal legacy while offering a luxurious, contemporary experience. With 20 elegant guest rooms, a refined restaurant called Courtroom, and a vibrant rooftop bar, Verdict, The Abner brings a perfect blend of heritage and modern sophistication to the heart of the Litchfield community.
