Overview

We recently had the pleasure of working alongside Magers Management Company and Jones Marketing Group to develop the positioning strategy, brand name, and visual identity for their upcoming project – Iron Grain District.

This mixed-use development will be the cornerstone for an up-and-coming area of the City of Republic, MO. It will act as a polestar for attracting new businesses, travelers, and local residents to the community.

Positioning

The client has a passion for this community and wants to help foster growth for the area, which led us to the positioning statement: “At the corner of growth and community.”

The Name

We came up with a lot of interesting name ideas for this development, spent time exploring different pathways, and even consulted local historians. But, when the dust settled, “Iron Grain District” had risen to the top.

“Iron Grain District” conveys a few concepts

  1. Shipments of iron and steel traveled through this community on the Frisco railroad years ago and was a big part of commerce at the time
  2. The farming and agricultural community has deep roots and is still an important part of this region
  3. We wanted this new place to become a destination on a map, instead of just another lifeless development, so we added “district” to help establish it as a new neighborhood in this rapidly expanding community.
